Just some patrols. Been exploring more of the area.

I just finished this three-day contract at this supermarket carrying heavy boxes. Looking to renew for a week more.

They've been eventful sometimes. Had to take care of some raiders here and there.

I guess that can be considered fun. [ He doesn't particularly enjoy having to deal with these fuckers, but it's not boring, at least. He can do it all day. ]

Whenever I can. Aiming for at least 2 to 3 times a week. [ To be fair, he has only been here for almost two weeks. ]

Now that I know you guys are here, I plan to stay longer. [ Rather than exploring for days on end. ]

But yeah, I already talked to Clint. Touched base on some stuff. Turns out I'm a few very eventful days ahead of him. Had to catch him up on some things.

Then again, I have and it still doesn't feel real to me either.

( is this when she says 'i'm sorry'? she hasn't lived through the events beyond the raft, when steve and natasha apparently break her and the others out. she wonders about that, but doesn't know how to ask; she gets this feeling that neither of the older men wants to tell her, for whatever reason, what the future holds.

just that they somehow make it—at the cost of natasha's life.

[ No, he's not. He's not okay. How can he be when two of his friends died while promising to himself none of them would die trying? Wanda doesn't even know how much she'd also lose. And he doesn't have the heart to tell her.

Steve looks at her question on his phone and takes a few seconds longer to respond. ]

( but it clicks a little, that steve needs to keep busy. that he's sticking close, wanting to make sure she's okay. all potentially damaging traits bundled into a code of duty and honor, as he may think he 'should'. )
